My love for Cosmedix has grown and the Prep & Reset Pads are another addition to my skincare routine that I have to rave about! I thought the Revert Serum did an improvement to my skin but now that I've added in the Prep & Reset, my skin is looking even better! I deal with acne, even at age 27, so scarring and hyperpigmentation come with. I'm always looking for ways to reduce it and even out my complexion. Cosmedix Prep and Reset exfoliating facial pads quickly became a weekly staple in my skincare regimen. I was instantly in love after using only once! My skin immediately looked clearer, brighter, and more radiant! I like to use these pads at night after my second cleanse, and the following day I was still glowing! I also noticed that my makeup went on more smoothly and stayed put all day.I also like to use these peel pads on my clients because they get the skin perfectly prepped and degreased prior to advanced treatments like peels or before dermaplaning.I would say the only thing I am not in love with about these pads is that you have to rinse your skin 15 minutes after using. This isn't exactly ideal for use in treatments or for my own skincare regimen because honestly- who has the luxury of time anymore? I recently started using the even and correct peel pads by skin medica because you only have to wait until your skin dries before moving onto your next step. As a licensed esthetician I am always on the hunt for new skin care to add to not only my own routine but also to suggest to my clients. I really really wanted to love the COSMEDIX prep & reset pads. I was very fond of the two different sides, a softer more gentle and then the other being more abrasive for a deeper exfoliant. I love any sort of toner or prep before a serum or moisturizer and I was excited to try this but I have to say I am not a fan of the 15 minute intermission that is required before you are able to rinse this product off. I personally didn't find that conducive to my personal daily routine and I feel like it could be a deterrent for some people. Overall though, I will say I felt that it left my skin feeling degreased and prepped for serum/moisturizer. COSMEDIX Prep & Reset is a straight up yes with (2) exclamation points for me. I loved the dual sided exfoliation/serum and moisturizing pads. The one side was a touch, more aggressive and I felt like it really did a great job getting rid of skin that needed to sloughed off. I am someone that loves a full skincare routine that includes a chemical and physical exfoliation. Incorporating these pads into my daily regimen has been a total game changer for me.The first thing I noticed is how thick and soft these pads are. They are two ply, with a little pocket for your fingertips - super high end and such a treat. One side is for a gentler exfoliation and the other side is for a more intense exfoliation. I like to use the soft side all over and then the stronger side for the t zone and certain areas of my face that need more attention.Let me say that I have been using these pads slightly differently than the instructions. Following the guidelines, 10 - 15 minutes after using the pads, you're suppose to rinse the face with tepid water.I don't rinse my skin after using these pads, despite instructions, and have not had any issues. I just love using them, and they feel so lovely on the skin. Afterwards. my skin feels clean, soft and has a fabulous glow. I like to follow with a serum and a moisturizer. I love love love these textured pads and my teenage daughter does too!
