Honestly, I love salicylic especially for its ability to help with acne, large pores, or post-acne spots. I always have some products with it, and was glad to try some new brand. First time when I just saw this Cosmedix product, and it was a toner, I thought that its design already caught my attention. I was, honestly, surprised about the spray bottle, and my husband(he always wants to try my bottles) was a second away of spraying it on his face, but I fastly took it away from him.😅 So, I love the design, but, maybe, spray bottle is not the best choice for such products. This toner is strong, no, it is REALLY STRONG. I use salicylic acid daily, but this toner made my skin to burn. And it is ok, for me. Then after couple days I noticed that my oily skin becomes dryer and dryer. This toner obviously removes all sebum from the skin. Also, if you have a pimple, and you will apply some toner on it, be sure that next day it will be dry and more likely to be not irritated.

For reference, I have combination (leaning oily on most days skin). I also have a bit of dryness under my chin and some hormonal breakouts that pop up sporadically.

To start I don't think I would recommend this for soft or delicate skin because this toner felt very drying. I really like that it is packaged as a spray form it makes for an easy and even application. I used this paired with the cosmedix purity clean cleanser, moisturizing cream and the refinishing serum. Over all, the toner has a very strong alcohol smell so if you are not into that, you will not enjoy this. I think it could be the perfect solution for a very oily skin person in keep the skin balances and reduce the excess production of oil (which is also why I definitely would not recommend this for dry skin in my opinion). When using between two hydrating products though, I think it's okay.

This toner is a great addition to a skin routine. It calms down the skin and makes it clean, and healthy. This Toner has a 5% lactic acid. It gently exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells and unclogging pores without irritating them. It also has Teatree oil which helps to balance and clarify the skin. After cleansing my face I apply this Toner with the help of a cotton pad all over the face. And use other products with sunscreen on top. So far loving this Toner. This Toner was gifted to me by Cosmedix and I recommend this Toner for oily and acne-prone skin.

This is hands down the best toner I've ever used! First off, I love that it comes in a spray bottle! This makes it so much more convenient to use and travel around with. This toner will give your skin the deepest cleanse of its life! After using, my skin feels super clean and refreshed and I also experience a cooling tingling sensation which I personally love. Every single trace of dirt, makeup and oil will be swiped away with this toner. Thanks to the salicylic acid, my pores are exfoliated and decongested which helps the rest of my skincare products to penetrate deeper and be more effective. This plays extremely well with my combo oily skin as it hydrates my dry areas while helping to absorb oils in my t-zone. I am in my late 20s and always love to try new and innovative products as I am refining my personal routine. This was my first experience with cosmedix. My skin texture leans more dry and I have personally been working on my texture and pores as I see changes at my current age.

I was really excited to try a toner that uses more gentle exfoliants like lactic acid. I love the way this feels on my skin; however, this is my first time using a spray toner and I did not love the application process. I like having the ability to apply with my hands as I feel like I get a more even and thorough application so I prefer a toner in a liquid form. I also felt like the scent was so strong and intense - just not super appealing. This made it hard to find the balance to feel like I was applying enough to get the impact, but also avoid chocking on the scent.

Overall, I saw some difference in my pore control and less breakouts while using compared to other toners. I would love this is a different application form and slightly lighter on the scent.

This one was kind of a hit and miss for me. The first time I used Purity Balance, I noticed a tingling feeling right away, and the smell was pretty strong and chemical-like at first. It fades fast, but it did throw me off a little. I used it at night with the Refine serum, and that combo was way too much for my skin. After a few days, my skin barrier felt damaged and even gentle cleansers started to sting. I had to take a break from everything. Now I only use this every other day and that feels a lot better. If you've got sensitive skin like me, I'd say be careful and maybe don't use it daily right away. I used it in addition to purity clean, skin thirst and refine. I used the entire set for 2 weeks.

There's nothing like using this Cosmedix purity balance toner after using their cleanser! I've been using the Cosmedix Purity Balance Exfoliating Prep Toner for a few weeks now, and it has already replaced my previous toner. This is designed for oily, acne-prone, or combination skin, and this toner gently exfoliates while prepping the skin for better absorption. I apply two pumps to a cotton ball and gently glide it on my face and I'm so impressed on how lightweight it feels and it absorbs super fast. When I apply it there's a light tingling sensation which is a sign that it's doing it's magic. The scent smells like tea tree oil but of course there's tea tree oil in this toner. I've noticed reduction of shine. If you want to reduce oil and combat clogged pore this is the product for you!

Cosmedix's Purity Balance Exfoliating Prep Toner exfoliates, absorbs excess oil and impurities, and decreases the appearance of pores. It preps your skin for serums, masks, moisturizers, and spf. Do not spray this directly on your face; instead, spray it onto a cotton round and swipe it on your skin. The smell is pretty strong, but you only smell it when you spray it and when you're first applying it, but it goes away quickly. It dries quickly on my skin and doesn't leave a residue at all. The spray allows for even application on the cotton round. I use this toner after cleansing with Purity Clean and before using Refine and Skin Thirst. I have not experienced any irritation using this toner. Make sure to wear sunscreen after applying, as this product may increase your skin's sun sensitivity.

I am gently moving into a more mature phase in life and with that my skin needs have been changing. And I have always liked using a toner in the morning and night for a quick refresh to rid my skin of anything that may be left on it.
Oh wee upon first spray I could tell that this was a strong toner. The smell of it is strong, and I can feel it as soon as I apply it on my skin. I feel a slight tingle especially after using it on just cleansed skin. Nothing major, no burning or pain. I was surprised to see that even after cleansing my skin there was a bit of discoloration on the cotton pad after wiping with the toner. I feel like that is a good sign that any excess oils that are left on my skin are being removed. When I used this in the morning it feels like a little wake-up for my skin.

I am loving the Cosmedix Purity Balance Exfoliating Prep Toner. It is a powerful, refreshing toner that delivers amazing results.

First, I need to advise you that this product is strong. It has a noticeable tea tree oil scent that may be a bit intense for some people, but it does fades quickly and didn't bother me much. The refreshing cooling sensation it delivers (likely from the tea tree oil) felt energizing and clean, I did not find it to be irritating or harsh.
I use a cotton pad to apply the toner, as recommended by the brand, and I especially focused on on my T-zone since I do have combination skin. This toner has being doing a fantastic job at decongesting my pores, reducing some oiliness, and clearing up the blackheads, on my nose and chin. I really like that it gives my face a fresh, balanced glow without ever leaving it feeling dry or tight. Since I started using this toner, my complexion looks refined and polished, since it helped minimized my pores and balance out my texture.

I was glad to add this Purity Balance exfoliating prep toner to my daily skincare routine. When I tried it for the first time I felt a slight tingling on my skin at first and was a bit worried about it, but it went away over time. Now I realize what amount of product I need to use for my skin for the best result. This product can't be sprayed directly on the face, only onto a cotton pad. You should apply it on clean skin every morning and/or night. I found only one negative side - it is the smell. It gives a mild tingling sensation in the nose, but it goes away quickly.
You also should wear SPF cream if you decide to use it in the morning.
I like to use in with moisturizing cream to combine the effect. After a couple weeks of using it, I can see a result on my forehead, when I had the most breakouts.
