At 34, I have combination skin characterized by an oily T-zone and hormonal acne. I've been using the COSMEDIX Purity Clean Exfoliating Cleanser, and it does an excellent job of cleaning my pores while smoothing my complexion. The cleanser doesn't lather excessively, so I typically use two pumps both in the morning and at night. It can also be left on as a mask for extra exfoliation. With a refreshing, minty scent and feel, it effectively cleanses without drying out my skin. Instead, it balances my skin beautifully. Cosmedix products have become essential for my combination skin, and I truly believe that regular use will help maintain skin balance.

I really enjoyed this cleanser. The formula gets deeps into the pores to give you a powerful clean without making the skin feel stripped. The Aloe ingredient also helps relieve some redness from my cheeks. To say that this cleanser suprised me is to say nothing. Let's talk about the design first. I really love when products are designed in calm, but luxury deep colors. This bottle became a great addition to my bathroom shelf. I like the dispenser, that it gives just the right amount of product to use. But if you ask me what did surprised you, I will tell you: this cleanser does not foaming, not at all. It is like you applying a serum, but then you need to rinse it off. But after this cleanser my face was so clean that it even seemed that I could hear that “sound of squeaking cleanliness”. Oily skin? Oh no, forget about oily skin. Of course I used not only the cleanser, but other products from this line against large pores, and acne. But I noticed improvement of the appearance of my skin. First couple weeks I used it every day, but now I use it two or three times a week, as my skin becomes too dry, which can lead to unwanted wrinkles. But, I love this product and ready to recommend it.

The scent of this product is undeniably invigorating! It is is heavily scented but not fragranced. I typically don't like minty smells but the smell of the peppermint is sure to revive your skin cells lol. This cleanser does everything as described. It deeply cleans the skin but isn't stripping. It lathers but not heavily which I enjoy. I think the combination of the Lactic Acid, Tea Tree Oil and peppermint essential oil are what give the invigorating smell and sensation. This cleanser doesn't feel aggressive but I'm not sure I would recommend it for dry or sensitive skin types (for reference I have combination skin with an oily T zone - and sometimes cheeks, and sporadic hormonal breakouts under my chin and along my jaw line). I believe consistent use of the products from the Cosmedix line really helped to keep my skin balanced and hydrated throughout the day.

I can't be certain about the oil control, I still found myself oily at the end of the day but it wasn't excessive. After a few weeks of use, my complexion definitely appears healthier and more vibrant.

I've been testing out Cosmedix's Purity Cleanser for the past 2 weeks and I enjoyed it. This is green, minty cleanser that is neither too runny nor thick. I found that this gently exfoliates my skin, however it didn't make my skin dry either. Since I have dry skin, it's really important to me that my cleansers don't strip my skin and this cleanser did not. Of note, this cleanser is supposed to be foaming, however this was not very foamy. Additionally, I used the cleanser as a mask as well when I let it sit on my face for a couple of minutes prior to showering. I would recommend this product to those who like a lightly exfoliating cleanser that doesn't mind strong scents. I probably would not repurchase this cleanser again as it is pretty expensive. This Purity Clean cleanser from Cosmedix is the entire package in one bottle and the only cleanser you'll ever need! For reference, I have oily textured skin with large pores and this cleanser addressed all of those issues. This Cosmedix purity cleanser I've used for a few weeks now and I must say it has managed my breakouts. My face feels less oily after adding this exfoliator to my night time routine. I am gently moving into a more mature phase in life and with that my skin needs have been changing. Due to this I am always looking for products that better suit my needs. This brand seems to be in line with what I am searching for.
While using the exfoliating cleanser I really like the smell and the texture. It lathers up well with water, and after application my skin feels clean. I have been having an issue with more clogged pores than normal since use but that could be attributed to environmental factors as well. I am used to using a harsher exfoliating cleanser so I like that this is a more gentle exfoliating product. My skin feels smooth to the touch and does not feel damaged or irritated after use. I will have to continue use to see if the clogged pores start to clear up.

The Purity Clean Exfoliating Cleanser is gentle and effective at decongesting pores, exfoliating, and cleansing the skin. It has a beautiful shiny green color and a light peppermint scent. Apply one pump to wet hands and rub your hands together to create a light lather to cleanse your face. I have oily skin and cleansers tend to make my face feel dry and tight. But Purity Clean leaves my face feeling clean without feeling stripped or tight.
