Meet Kelsey Burton from Violet Grey Studio
Another week, another exciting Aesthetician to highlight for National Aestheticians Month! This week we have the talented Kelsey Burton from Violet Grey Studio. We asked Kelsey a series of questions ranging from her favorite COSMEDIX products to her favorite treatments to perform on clients.

When sitting down with Kelsey, we started by asking her about herself and how she ended up being an aesthetician and co-owner of a studio. See what Kelsey said about her journey below:
“I started out in the industry freelancing airbrush makeup for weddings & then quickly decided I needed to be licensed. So, I went to esthetics school & fell in love with skin care & treating clients in a spa environment. I then worked at a spa for 2 years & now I co-own a studio where I have been practicing for 2 years. Over my time in the industry, I have dabbled in different areas of esthetics, but my main focus now are facials & creating skin care regimens for my clientele.”

Violet Grey Studio opened its doors in the heart of Main Street in Lafayette, Indiana. Co-owned with Kaylee Lehnen, Violet Grey Studio has a hair stylist department as well as an Aesthetician department where Kelsey offers various treatments ranging from Oxygen Facials to bridal makeup to Advanced Layering Peels. “My passion for my business is to allow my clients a space to relax & indulge in self-care. Many of us live such a busy go, go, go lifestyle that we often neglect ourselves. I love being able to provide a space & experience where clients feel totally at ease. I pride myself on being able to offer knowledge on the skin & how to create habits outside of the treatment room that will support wellness,” in regard to what makes her business different from other competitors.

Favorite Treatments
To wrap up our interview with Kelsey, we asked what her favorite treatment was to perform on clients. Kelsey says:
“Picking one is so difficult. I love to do a facial that has all of the relaxing techniques incorporated & then at the opposite end of the spectrum I also love to do advanced peels.”
A relaxing peel that Kelsey offers at her salon is our Pomegranate Peel. This peel is made with fruit enzymes and L-Lactic Acid designed to gently exfoliate surface skin cells and pore-clogging impurities. Kelsey says that this peel is perfect for newbies!
The most advanced peel offered at Kelsey’s studio would be the Level 3 Advanced Layering treatment. This peel is not for the faint of heart as skin must be prepped for 14 days with Retinol + Vitamin C before receiving the peel. Level 3 has the highest level of potent ingredients to encourage healthy skin renewal while improving the look of wrinkles and pigmentation.
